Dr. Austin E. Garza completed his undergraduate and medical education at Vanderbilt University. He has a special interest in esophageal disease and GI malignancy. He also has performed many endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and ERCP procedures at Penrose Hospital, where he serves as Chairman of the Credentials Committee. He currently serves as the president of our practice and has an interest in GI practice management and improving delivery of care. He regularly attends national meetings and works with elected officials and representatives in Congress as part of the Digestive Health Physicians Association. He is also on Physician Advisory Board for GastroGPO. He enjoys hiking with his two dogs, skiing, and attending his kids' many, many soccer games along with his wife.
ASSOCIATES IN GASTROENTEROLOGY has been providing excellent care in Gastroenterology and Hepatology in Colorado Springs for 41 years. We currently have 10 physicians and 7 advanced-practice providers, all based out of our two offices in Colorado Springs. We treat the whole spectrum of GI disease. We offer access to dietician services, treatment of pelvic floor disorders and incontinence, advanced motility assessment, and non-invasive ways to assess liver disease. We have two locations, including our main office on the Audubon Medical Campus, and a second office in the new St. Peregrine Pavilion, on the campus of St. Francis Medical Center. Our newest endoscopy center, also in the St. Peregrine Pavilion, opened in 2021 to serve patients on the eastern and northern parts of our great city, and compliments our original endoscopy center, Endoscopy Center of Colorado Springs, ECCS. ECCS has been providing excellent outpatient endoscopic care since 2005, and annually has 99-100% patient satisfaction scores. We pride ourselves on a compassionate experience for our patients, with providers practicing the highest level of clinical gastroenterology.
