CHARLIE PETERS, MD, IS A BOARD-CERTIFIED general surgeon and fellowship trained surgical oncologist at Colorado Springs Surgical Associates (CSSA). Dr. Peters specializes in performing complex surgical procedures for both benign and malignant pathologies of the gastrointestinal tract, hepatopancreatobiliary system, skin, and soft tissues. Dr. Peters aims to educate, comfort, and provide hope while developing individualized treatment plans to optimize outcomes for his cancer patients. At CSSA, cancer patients are evaluated in a multi-disciplinary format to develop cutting-edge treatment strategies. Dr Peters utilizes minimally invasive surgical techniques to achieve the best possible results for his patients. In addition, CSSA offers treatment of advanced malignancies which have spread throughout the abdomen and peritoneum with cytoreductive surgery and heated intra-peritoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC).
